Frequently Asked

Questions

What is the meaning behind your brand name?

Marigolds are more than just bright, beautiful flowers. They are rich with symbolism across cultures. Often associated with warmth, vitality, and celebration, they’re used in rituals and traditions to honor life, remember ancestors, and mark meaningful moments.

We chose the name Marigold Market to reflect these values. Our store is a place for discovery and connection—a curated marketplace offering globally sourced goods that bring soul and story into your home. Like marigolds, our offerings are meant to brighten your space, evoke memory, and help you live more intentionally.

Marigold Market is about celebrating culture, craft, and the art of living soulfully.

Where do you source your products from?

We partner with artisans and makers around the world to curate thoughtful goods that celebrate craftsmanship, heritage, and timeless design. Included are places like Indonesia, Japan, Morocco, Turkey, Australia, Zambia, Pakistan, India, China, Mexico and more!

How often do you restock your pieces?

Our in-house designs are handmade and have longer lead times once out of stock. We typically restock them semi-annually. All other pieces from vendors and artisans are restocked on an on-going basis based on vendor, material and trade availability. We operate like true market so some items you see and love may not be restocked. Order and plan accordingly!

How are your prices so affordable?

We work directly with artisans and maintain healthy margins so everyone can enjoy beautifully curated soulful goods. Affordability and accessibility to our products is really important to us so we try to ensure that people from all walks of life can walk away from something meaningful when shopping at Marigold Market.

What is the difference between your curated pieces vs. your in-house design pieces?

Curated pieces are ones that we seek out and purchase from other artisans, craftsmen and women, and small businesses. They go through a rigorous process to ensure they are handmade and made with natural materials, by real people. Our In-House Designs are made from marble that are procured directly from stone mines in Northern Pakistan, then based on our product renderings and designs, our artisans hand-carve them in our workshop and prepare them to be curated by you.

What does Live Soulfully mean to your market?

For us, soulful living is about surrounding yourself with objects that mean something. Pieces chosen with intention, made by hands you could imagine, built to be used and loved rather than simply displayed. It's the difference between a house and a home: not more things, but the right things.

Every item at Marigold Market is selected for its character as much as its craft — texture, provenance, the way something ages well over years of use. We believe a home should reflect the rhythms of daily life: slow mornings, shared meals, the ritual of lighting a candle at the end of the day.

Rooted in Wicker Park, we draw on the same spirit of independent craft and creative community that defines our neighborhood — small-batch makers, considered design, nothing mass-produced for the sake of it. Soulful living, to us, is simply living well — with less noise, and more meaning.
